Hello!

We are back, in fact we have been back a week but I just havn't gotten round to blogging, sorry!

We had a fabulous holiday, the kid's birthday went great we had lunch in the company of Tigger, Pooh, Piglet & Eeyore at The Crystal Palace.

 

We went to Busch Gardens for the first time & I loved it.  I am a total roller coaster addict now my fears are overcome, I couldn't get enough of them!  Fergus & I did a behind the scenes tour at Seaworld & hugged a dolphin called Lilly, amazing!  The new Manta ride at Seaworld was awesome.  I was a little disappointed with Aquatica, in particular the 'Dolphin Plunge' ride it is impossible to see the Commerson's Dolphins when you go through the tube :(  We ate at the Rainforest Cafe & I loved it also Bubba Gump's which was lovely & great fun too.  

My puppy has grown so much in just 2 weeks, he has lost his puppy eyes & looks so grown up & huge now.

We had to go to a charity dinner on Friday & having forgotten all about it I had nothing to wear so my friend Sue played Gok Wan & took me dress shopping! YES me in heels & an evening dress & I even have photos to prove it!  Thanks Sue for putting up with me.

Off To See The Mouse

Won't be around for a couple of weeks, we are off to sunny Florida :)  Heading to the coast this time too so I'm really looking forward to it.  New water park... Aquatica... looks really fun We are going with our friends who are like a 2nd set of parents to all of us! & such fun. Both the kids birthdays are when we are away so we have booked a table in the Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom, comes recommended, thanks Bev!  See you in a couple of weeks........

Hello! long time no Blog!

Yes I know it has been ages!  seems the longer you leave it the harder it is to post!  I have been busy with workshops etc at the shop.  Also I discovered Copics & have been making cards & colouring in for England.  We have started a circle journal off in my workshop group & I have been busy with that too.  I have jumped ahead & done 2 already as I don't want to come back from my holiday & be way behind.  Lorraine's journal is 'You Rock My World'  my page of course is The Kings Of Leon...  I will add the rest of the images & all my pages in my photo album - 'Circle Journals'.

 

Christmas Wreath

After seeing a lovely wreath made from little birdhouses at Harrogate Show I had a go at making one using my cricut.  I used the Tags Bags & Boxes cartridge (popcorn box)  It took ages to score & stick all the boxes but thankfully Jane was visiting so I put her to work!  The snowflake in the middle was made using the Accent Essentials cartridge.

In The Dog/Cat House

For Thursdays workshop we made either a Dog or Cat themed mini book, I made both, one of Flint our cat and one of Rusty puppy.  I have put the whole book in my gallery for the girls that didn't get finished.

No Time To Blog

Been a little busy & not got round to blogging, after a few not so subtle hints I thought I would try & catch up!  Jane & Georgina have been to visit See Here! we had a lovely time.  Best day of course was Bamburgh I really wanted to stay longer.  Rusty loved his first trip to the beach & was very well behaved. He loved running in & out of the sea with the girls.

Laura & Georgina came to my one of my Hello Kitty themed workshops which have gone down really well.  I think I may do more during the next school holidays.     Here are all the girls with the Bedroom Door hangers that they made....        

I also held a Hello Kitty Mini Book Workshop & another making a Hello Kitty card, bookmark & tag    

This Thursdays workshop was a Book using all 7Gypsies papers, mine was filled with photos from a trip to Tynemouth Priory, no people just the ruins & stained glass windows & all the rusty locks & door handles.  In the back of the book was a pop up ball using the Sizzix/Karen Burnison Die  I decorated mine with stained glass window photos.   

Also my car had to go in to the garage for a repair, one of the seat catches was broken so they replaced both of them (in case the other one went too) great customer service & they gave me this little beauty for the day, I was reluctant to return it! and although my car is faster this one was a real pose!

Album Stand

I love my mini books, I make so many of them.  They all live either in the shop or in a large leather chest in my living room.  Occasionally one of them is on display but as they are usually funny shapes & sizes & don't stand up very well.  I saw this stand in A Trip Down Memory Lane (sorry I got the last one!)  It is made by Chatterbox & is gorgeous, so probelm solved I can now display my mini books and they wont fall over!

Tryptych

Last nights workshop was a Tryptych using Paper Artsy Crowns & Castle stamps, distress & alcohol inks & paints, the patterned papers are Graphic 45  yum!  I really enjoyed this one but then I absolutely love these stamps. Here is picture for those who didn't quite finish  

Rusty at 12 weeks

12 weeks already!  He's doing so well, stuff that should be done outside is all being done outside, he sits and speaks on command & we dare not mention the word 'kibble' ! typical Lab he loves his food. Flint the cat is slowly getting used to him & they even shared a chair yesterday, granted I was sitting between them but what an improvement from not being in the same room together. Ginny our 10yr old Lab has a new lease of life & plays with him alot, although her poor ears suffer for it, sharp puppy teeth!   He snuggled up with Fergus on the sofa yesterday (even though dogs are not allowed on the sofa!) Fergus said it was ok because he was lying half on him and half on a throw so seeing as he wasn't actually touching the sofa it didn't count!  Yeah right!

It's all about Rusty!

I havn't had much time over the weekend to do anything, the boys were away in Scotland leaving Laura and I to puppy sit!  I had forgotten how much energy they have.  Rusty is full of fun but quite naughty with it too.  I did manage to decorate a Fancy Pants display FRAME They are really cool as the centre is clear acrylic so you get the colour of your wall showing through.  I love the doggy bones glitter paper by KI Memories. I think I may have to have another sheet of it for later use!
